About the Author
As a long term performance car enthusiast, it was inevitable that Grant Neal's own personal road would lead eventually to Porsche's door. His introduction (back in the late 1980s) was by way of a 250bhp 944 Turbo. The Porsche bug has stayed (with a few exceptions) until the present day! Enthusiastic ownership has allowed him to experience most of the models from the 996 range (over some 6 years) and he is keen to spread the word on these fabulous cars.
Peter Morgan has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and trained in the automotive industry. He has written for publication since his teens and became Technical Editor of Porsche Post (the magazine of the Porsche Club Great Britain) in 1981. He was Editor from 1991 to 1994. His first Porsche book, Porsche 911 -- Purchase and DIY Restoration was published in 1987. To date, he has written 20 titles on all aspects of Porsche, including racing, and his books have been translated into seven languages.

Don't buy a 997 911 without this

One can't have too many Porsche books. As a 997 owner (and many 911's over some 40+ years) I can vouch this one is authoritative and I recommend it especially to anyone considering purchase of a 997. But it is also a nice reference for any owner.

Awesome Book!

I recently purchased a 2011 C4S. I had done quite a bit of research before purchasing it, both online and by purchasing just about every Porsche book I could find. Most of the existing Porsche books do not cover type 997 in sufficient detail. This is THE BOOK for type 997 and 997.2 911's. I found a lot of useful info in here that I had not seen anywhere else. I bought the book to learn more about my 997.2 Carrera and was not disappointed. Author does a very thorough job describing features, options and specs on all models including the Turbos and GT models. Very informative ... Excelent book whether you already own or are looking to buy a type 997 Porsche! Happy motoring ...
